Why Sugar Camp?
The family farm has been a staple of Sugar Camp Ranch's history for generations. We come from seven generations of cattle, corn, and Kentucky tobacco farmers. While the men in the family worked the fields to make the family a livin', the women of the family worked the gardens to keep the family a livin'.
At the end of a long day the family may head back to the Sugar Camp to indulge in a tasty treat as a reward for the days hard work. The Sugar Camp was a barn located at the back of "Pop's" tobacco farm where maple trees were tapped and sap was gathered and brought back to be boiled down into sweet syrup.
Here at Sugar Camp Ranch we want to carry on and pass on the family legacy of hard work, good stewardship, and finding joy in the sweet and simple things in life.
